The wonderful thing about shopping for my bridesmaids was that it was actually true.

I first looked at the old bridesmaid gift standby – monogrammed totes and personalized flip-flops. My honest reaction? Not too enthused.

I know that any gift involving a monogrammed tote or shoes with their initials on them would be relegated to the back of the closet. So I did what any practical bride would do—shopped for unpractical gifts. No, I’m not talking about useless tchotchkes—I’m referring to those beautiful items that you pass by in the window but never really buy for yourself. In other words, the fun stuff!
